Proposal of a Self-Assessment Competency Framework for Transdisciplinary Engineering

Transdisciplinary (TD) working is claimed to be critical meet future societal needs, with engineers being at the core provide solutions these challenges. However, there little available that enables one assess whether they or their team have competencies required. Within this paper, we propose a self-assessment framework ascertain design which enable TD working. We describe how were identified using systematic literature review (SLR), then utilized coded decision trees classify disciplinary level particular competency can enable. In total, 76 classified; results of analysis show 20 displaying attributes as defined by Jantsch. The novelty approach follows: (1) novel way map against levels Jantsch’s hierarchical framework.
